About Smith Creek Music
Established in 1997, SMITH
CREEK MUSIC specializes in the publication of new music
in the classical tradition and innovative music education
materials. In addition, we design and implement state-of-the-art
music technology installations such as computer music workstations
and class/group piano labs.
Founder, W.
Daniel Landes, is a successful music educator, composer,
and electro-acoustic musician. His initial success in the
publishing business came with the release in 1996 of The
Electronic Encyclopedia of Hymnology, which
he co-authored along with Mark Putnam. Landes has been teaching
and administering class piano programs at various colleges
and universities since 1978. In addition, he teaches computer
and electro-acoustic music at a leading university in Nashville,
TN.
