Communicating Theology through Hymns

Many scholars have stated boldy that the majority of Christians get their theological ideas more from the hymns they sing than from the sermons they hear. See Hymns are Theological. For example, when one thinks of specific theological ideas a particular hymn text often comes to mind:

The Trinity: Holy, Holy Holy (MH 64)
The Birth of Christ: Joy to the World (MH 246)
The Holy Spirit: There's a sweet, sweet Spirit (MH 334)
Grace: Amazing Grace (MH 378)
Forgiveness: Great is thy faithfulness (140)
Salvation: Victory in Jesus (370)
.
.
.

A hymn book is really a book of theology for the people. However, the hymnal is often overlooked as a means of teaching Christian doctrine. The Table of Contents and the Topical Index of the hymnal is an outline of the theology of the group which produced the hymnal. Using the Methodist Hymnal, what are some hymns which might address these theological topics:

Christ's passion and death
Christ's assension
Christ's second coming
Faith
Sin
Evil

What are some other theological topics?
