NOTE: No keyboard manufacturer has implemented
MIDI
aftertouch on any digital piano. The reasoning
goes something like this: on a piano, it doesn't matter what
happens after the key is press so aftertouch is useless. HOW
WRONG THEY ARE! Often the most serious pianistic problem experienced
by a student pianst is PRESSING TOO HARD as they play, and
this includes continuing to press after they have played a
note or chord. If aftertouch were implemented, it would be
a simple matter to create interactive computer software to
alleaviate this problem.
