Class Piano Lab Manufacturers Reliability

We have had personal experience with these models of PIANOS over the past 25 years: Baldwin, Wurlitzer, Roland, Korg, and Yamaha. Baldwin and Wurlitzer no longer manufacture class piano labs.

Roland pianos worked faithfully for 10 years with no serious problems.

Korg pianos have worked faithful for us for 9 years with no problems to speak of. We would fully expect that they will continue to function well for several more years.

Yamaha pianos have worked faithfully for us for 6 years with no problems.

Casio now makes a line of pianos suitable for a class piano lab: the PX-310.  This is a GREAT piano with 88 semi-weighted keys.  The action FEELS GREAT and we highly recommend it. We have had no problems with the PX-310 in our class piano lab installations.

M-Audio now makes a VERY small 49-key keyboard with a built-in General MIDI sound back and this is the PERFECT keyboard for elementary schools on a budget. M-Audio products have proven to be completely reliable and whe have had no problems with their equipment.
